I am a lifelong learner who has been working his way through life as a student and leader. I have held various retail and corporate positions with increasing degrees of responsibility.

My work has taken me through many of the big cities in California and the West.

I have also spent many years working in corporate American in positions ranging from Director of Customer Service and Vice President of Operations to COO, President and CEO.

I have worked in small organizations with narrow customer focus as well as international companies with locations in twenty countries.

All the while I have sought to develop an environment where success is a product of a team with mutual goals. Whether it is to get through the day to getting through the next Board meeting. The goals have always been to use the ‘people power’ to tackle the problems we face and create a team of leaders and learners who will continue to build the company.

Often said that as the leader, I really don’t want my phone to ring, as I know I have people in place who get the work done.

Putting responsibility in the hands of those who have earned it!

Garrett, Christine, and Stephen 

who have provided me with unequalled inspiration for going forward and tackling the world!

  I have been blessed with quite a number of years in the corporate world. Of course, it has its ups and downs, but most importantly, during those years, I realized, that so often the outcome was up to me. There are times when you feel like you are on making great progress and you are on top of the world. There are also times when you feel that there is no point in putting your heart and soul into the daily struggles. I am hoping this book might provide a little guidance on the lessons you will learn and how to develop a balance in your work-life which will help you stay focused on the goals ahead. These lessons don’t simply translate into the corporate world, as there are plenty of lessons and examples that you can apply to both your professional and personal lives. The point is to constantly re-evaluate and look at strategies that will give you the desired outcome and help guide you on your path through life.
